Isabelle Georges, Frederik Steenbrink and Trio Zadig come together on an album for the first musical adaptation of Stefan Zweig's novella composed by Sergei Dreznin.
Nearly a century after its publication, Twenty-Four Hours in the Life of a Woman continues to captivate readers. The novella provides exceptional material for the original score by Sergei Dreznin, a rich palette of colors and emotions worthy of its heroine.
To perform this original score, an unprecedented quintet composed of singers Isabelle Georges and Frederik Steenbrink and Trio Zadig, winner of eleven international awards. The arrangements, by Cyrille Lehn, offer the trio and singers a setting faithful to this dazzling and unforgettable passion, this timeless story of love and abandonment, despite social conventions.
On stage, the work will be presented as an oratorio. The pieces, sometimes instrumental, sometimes sung, punctuated by excerpts from the novella
