Love, Linda: The Life of Mrs. Cole Porter makes its Paris debut at the Studio Raspail, the Art Deco theatre built for Helena Rubinstein and reopened this year after restoration.
After being named a “Coup de Cœur” at the 2025 Avignon Festival, Love, Linda: The Life of Mrs Cole Porter makes its Paris debut in the Art Deco jewel box of the Studio Raspail, before playing La Seine Musicale in March 2027.
Isabelle Georges brings the French adaptation of the Off-Broadway hit by Stevie Holland and Gary William Friedman to Paris, directed by Tristan Petitgirard. Discover the extraordinary life of the legendary American composer and lyricist Cole Porter, told by Linda, his wife and muse. He was gay, and yet they shared thirty-five years of a love and companionship unlike any other. In this portrait of a brilliant, elegant and sophisticated woman with a passion for freedom, Cole Porter’s immortal songs weave the thread of a captivating story, celebrating thelight and the shadows of a relationship that defied every convention. IsabelleGeorges, accompanied by a subtly jazz-inflected trio, embodies Linda Porter and pours her voice into the world of the prince of songwriters, who wrote more than 800 songs, sung by Marilyn Monroe, Fred Astaire and Frank Sinatra.
