Poetic and hypnotic!Talkin' Broadway

“When the brilliant singer and stage actress, Isabelle Georges, asked me if I would give my blessing for her to present a one-woman-show of my December Songs in Paris, I could not have been more happy. And yet, I did become more happy, when I attended the Theatre du Renard and saw and heard Isabelle’s extraordinary interpretation of these songs, and the tragic and heroic character she created to portray them. I was thrilled to provide a new song for her, Strange, as an encore. Though it did not seem possible, I became even happier when we flew Isabelle to New York together with Stan Cramer in order to record and memorialize her magnificent performances in both French and English for the internationally renowned PS Classics label. For this recording, the celebrated Broadway orchestrator, Larry Hochman, contributed sensitive and subtle strings and woodwinds as a halo around Isabelle’s utterly exquisite rendition of these songs. What a true artist she is!”
